Teaching Framework
Information
ICES uses an encrypted information system to record students' registration and class information as well as their attendance, grades, comments, etc. In this way, both the teachers and students can access it online at any time.
Syllabus
Each course has a standard syllabus that includes the class objectives, use of teaching materials, study requirements, exam methods, and weekly teaching progress and assignments.
Self-evaluation
Every week, students will make self-evaluations on their ability goals, key vocabulary, core grammar and other content so as to understand the learning outcomes in a timely manner and meanwhile to facilitate instructors to adjust the teaching progress.
Test
Tests are held on a regular basis and the test contents are identical for the same level. Teachers will review the papers altogether to check the students' study situation at one stage.
Teaching Evaluation
During the semester, a survey regarding eight aspects will be conducted to students. According to the comments on teaching capacity, methods, materials effects and etc, teaching quality is expected to be improved.
Resources
A wide variety of study resources are available for students, including the class PPT, QUIZLET, HSK tutoring materials, online class, students' reading materials, language practice task cards and etc.
